About

At its core, Rostored is built on the belief that photos are more than just images; they’re memories. Every photo holds a moment in time, a piece of history, or a feeling that can never be replicated. Rostored is rooted in the idea that photos, especially old or damaged ones, are worth saving. Photographs are often the only tangible link to the past, and preserving them is crucial to maintaining family legacies and historical narratives.

In 2016, I had the opportunity to work at a local photography studio, where we offered services like scanning, retouching, and restoring old family photos. It wasn’t just about improving the technical aspects of the images, but about reconnecting people with moments they thought they'd lost forever. Seeing the joy and emotion on a client's face when they saw an old family photo brought back to life was incredibly rewarding. It felt like I was preserving not just images, but entire legacies, stories, and memories for future generations.

Then in 2018, I joined MOO. A print and design company that specialises in creating custom business cards, stationery and more recently, branded merchandise. There, I honed my skills in digital retouching and artworking, refining my eye for detail and learning to work with a diverse range of visual styles. I still proudly reside at MOO, now as the Lead Artworker overseeing all post production and working with an extremely talented team of artworkers.

Now, with over 10 years of experience in retouching, I’ve come full circle and returned to my roots by helping people restore their cherished memories. Whether it’s fixing cracks, fading or discoloration, I take pride in using my expertise returning old photos to their former glory. It’s an incredible feeling to help people rediscover images that carry emotional weight. Every image has a story, and through careful retouching, I get the privilege of giving that story new life.
